A post of many topics

For the last week I haven't been drinking as much coffee as usual...I had a huge cup of it this morning, though, and between that and my adderall, now I'm practically vibrating.

I finally got around to making a friends filter for people I know in real life. Makes catching up on LJ after more than a week, a lot easier. I only had to read 60 posts or so, and not 300 or something. Sheesh. Which means I did finally read and respond to my birthday greetings from last week.

Speaking of which, I had fun last night. Apples to Apples + beer + vegan junk food = lots of laughing. And while we didn't stay long at Noir, I still had a good time and got some dancing in.

jenhowell gave me, two pairs of "sock lady" socks--one pair is black with multi-colored skull and crossbones all over it, one pair is lavender with purple unicorns. Sweet! Also, a fancy chocolate candy bar, mmm.

alicia_stardust made me a really pretty rainbow beaded necklace, and also gave me ...matching tissues! *lol*

My chorus concert tickets are on sale. You can buy them through me, or through the website, or a few places probably listed on the website. They're $18 ahead of time and $20 at the door. The shows are on December 16th, at 4pm and 7:30pm.

I've decided that job-wise, I'm going to mostly look for part-time receptionist kind of things. I kinda like working in an office, y'know? Craigslist has lots of promising-looking ads. I need to write my goddamn resume.

I think I'm going to be Rainbow Brite for Halloween next year.

Jarrod and I saw "Borat" yesterday. It was funny in that "OMG I'm going to go to hell for laughing at this" kind of way. It was hard to watch in places, because you know what's going on, and his poor victims don't.

I have another post brewing, on Hecate's Sickle and my changing perspective on Life, the Universe, and Everything. But I won't post it yet--Jarrod and I have cabin fever today something fierce!
