aprilstarchild: (Gir playing DDR)
I just read a comic about Bubble Bobble that's a parody of Dinosaur Comic (which I get as a feed) and now I have the Bubble Bobble theme song stuck in my head.

One of my brothers was totally hooked on that game the first summer we lived in Iceland. He used to play it on my dad's Amiga. Those were the days, man. Amiga. Shit.

Speaking of Iceland, I told my dad the base was closing and he's been poking around various sites reading about it. Iceland apparently doesn't want the USA leaving--over six hundred Icelandics work there, we've been running the international airport or something, and Iceland doesn't have its own military. And we're leaving kinda fast and without a lot of warning. Bummer.

[livejournal.com profile] rikell42 came over earlier. We watched The History of the World, Pt. One (ha ha ha ha ha...) and a few episodes of Invader Zim. And ate popcorn. Not sure that was the smartest idea (I missed work again today due to my stupid sick thing) but we'll find out, eh? But it was good to have him over. :^)

Have you ever wondered about the X-ray glasses advertised in comic books and sold by mail? They allegedly allow you to see through people's clothes, maybe even through their skin to the skeleton beneath. You Scorpios now have the next best thing to that cartoon technology. Your eyesight is especially keen--so much so that you'll notice many things that have previously been hidden from you. Not only that. You'll be especially adept at discerning the real stories unfolding beneath the official stories. You'll have the ability to decipher people's unconscious motivations and secret agendas. It's almost like you'll have a psychic version of X-ray specs.
