1. Even cable won't show the UCC's new ad. jedirita posted two articles about it in her journal, here.

On the upside, it still makes me smile that jedirita is a slash author, and a UCC minister.

2. Speaking of the UCC. One of the members of my chorus is getting ordained. After that, she'll be the interim pastor in Bellingham. So after our dress rehearsal, she's invited the chorus to come sing at her ordination, specifically the song "Arise My Love," which is a favorite of mine from this term. I'm so happy for her. The UCC is awesome, and if/when I go back to a Christian church it'll be one of theirs.

3. Some of you may know that emmagrant01 is another recent favorite author of mine in the HP fandom. There's an interview with her over here, and it's quite good. OMG. I get so happy about smart, feminist, fangirls. She uses fun big words like "heteronormative." :^)

Also, it's cool to see that she, like myself, sees fanon!Draco and canon!Draco as two totally different people. We're not crazy. Honest.

And she gave a link to her favorite story. I'll be reading tonight. Yup. *giggle*

4. My chorus retreat is the weekend after axiom's birthday thing. So I can stay out as late as I want. And drink a wee bit more. That takes a lot of stress off my mind, actually. And now dragon_mintz won't have to drag my ass to the max early the next day. Although she still gets happy thoughts from me for offering.

5. I need to finish making my dinner.

ruby_wings and Chris bought a DVD of Robin Hood: Prince of Theives. I know a lot more about medieval history and living standards than I did the last time I saw it. It fascinates the crap out of me now. Pardon me while I go watch a Kevin Costner movie. And attempt not to give historical commentary.
