Mar. 24th, 2006 07:14 pmI looked it up--it's an hour and a half drive (probably going to actually be a little more because of traffic, but who knows?) from the location of Pirate's Gathering, to the Clark County Ampitheatre. The Ampitheatre isn't far from the Washington state border.
Now the question is: how badly do I or Stacy want to go see NIN? *lol* Or anyone else, for that matter?
Tickets start at $24 not including all the ticketmaster crap. That's probably for lawn seats, but lawn seats sure don't bother me; I had a lawn seat for Radiohead. You just have to arrive early-ish with a blanket in tow. Hell, you end up with more personal space than if you had an actual seat.
Does anyone else want to go? Whether or not they might be going to Pirate's Gathering? Don't worry about infringing on a date--the more the merrier for concert kind of things, in my opinion. That, and I don't know how much she likes NIN or if she's expecting to go to the Gathering. I've mentioned it to her, like, once.
Worst case scenario if she or someone else is up for NIN but not piratey things: Estacada has a bus into Portland, and it shouldn't be too tricky to get a ride into Estacada, by Saturday I'm sure someone will need ice or something from town. Hee.
Plans for this evening: Clean downstairs bathroom. Dye hair. Call Stacy.
Re: dying hair: Bought two boxes this time. And went to Sally's Beauty Supply to get a proper sized bottle with a pointy tip. Woohoo. Also have better gloves this time--ones that are more form-fitting. Go me. I'm wishing I'd washed my hair last night though. I'll reuse the old towel I dyed last time. Need to find some vaseline for my ears, though...
Bought the dog a new toy a few nights ago--it's a tennis ball with a rope attached. But his mouth isn't big enough for the tennis ball so he grabs the knot of the rope loop. Which is fine by me. In any case I'm now the dog's best friend. *lol* It's fun to play tug-of-war and throw it around the house. He'll growl like crazy but be "bowing" and wagging his tail, and eventually he'll drop it and get that ears-forward look that dogs get, so I'll throw it again. And now I have white rat terrier hair all over my black Dickies.
