Woo been a while, eh? Well, for me. Yup.
Had a blast dancing Friday night. Started nodding off in the car on the way to my house, so I thought I should take my contacts out--all I could think about was all those dire warnings not to wear them while asleep.
Yeah. Recipe for disaster: Take one drunk person, add hard contacts. Have drunk person attempt to remove hard contacts in the back of a car.
axiom just kept telling me not to move once he realized what my "ooops" meant. Thank god they reflect light--it was on my skirt.
Saturday I hung out with
rikell42. We stuffed ourselves at The Parodox Cafe and then went to Wunderland next door. I've only ever been to Wunderland at night. During the day on a weekend, it's filled with kids. It was a surprise to me! Duh, it's an arcade.
Ran into Kara (with Myriad, who's around 18mos. now), and Tyson and
singswithtrees. I can't remember if Katrina was with them! We walked back to Katrina's place, and then
rikell42 and I went back to his car and he dropped me back off at Katrina and Marty's.
Had a fun night just hanging out and catching up with Katrina and Kara. There's a pizza place on Hawthorne that was sooo tasty--we got the Grecian, which is olive oil and garlic and more garlic and tomatoes and kalamata olives--half with cheese, half without. And a pitcher of beer. We got a large expecting to have leftovers and between the three adults and Myriad we ate it all! They had some hot waitstaff, btw.
Sleeping next to a baby is tricky. She kept snuggling up to me thinking I was Kara, and then freaking out when I wasn't and shouting "Mamaaaa!!", and Kara would drowsily say, "I'm right here, just roll over" and she'd start nursing for a minute and then snore...until she rolled over and tried to snuggle me again. I got lots of toddler feet in my back all night.
Katrina is lonely out there. I need to visit her more.
This morning after we all stuffed ourselves at home (note to self: cheapo English muffins are more likely to be vegan), we went to People's Co-op. I bought a week's worth or so of groceries, yay! Mmmm... tasty. Went to Powell's with all of them and managed not to buy anything. We rode the max out here all together (Katrina and Kara and Myriad were going to visit Katrina's family) and I came home.
I made a vegan BLT. Also, after hearing
jenhowell rave about it constantly, I did buy Dave's Killer Bread. Note to self: Rye bread is too strong-tasting for a BLT. It was still really freaking good though. I was hoping to save the rest of the tomato I bought for some more sandwhiches, but it was just too damn tasty and I ate the rest.
Just made chili. I am a GOD. It's so damn good.
