Sep. 13th, 2005 10:05 pmRandom Cool Note of the Day: Clinique doesn't do any animal testing. They do lots and lots of human tests for safety, but no animal testing. Yay!
Went to Food Fight! (the vegan grocery store) today. Bought a few convenience foods, two different attempts at Reese's cups (they're in the fridge because the store doesn't have A/C and they were sorta melted), fake jerky, some cookies... I also got the new issue of Herbivore magazine and an inexpensive book called "Vegan Freak" that's really good. One of the women who made The Garden of Vegan and How It All Vegan (both cookbooks) made a new one called Le Dolce Vegan. I want it. *lol* She points out that it's nice to have recipes that are super-easy and fast and not-fancy for when you get home and stare into the fridge and think, WTF am I going to make for dinner? --so this cookbook is mostly that kind of stuff.
Two pins! Bwah ha ha. My "Vegetarianism is for Lovers" pin (see icon) was on the American Apparel hoodie I lost (le sigh). I bought one that says "herbivore" in pretty lettering, and another that has this angry looking cow with the words, "How about I eat you, fucker?" I don't normally buy angry/in your face pins, but the look on the cow's face cracked me up.
Speaking of hoodies, I left mine somewhere. I think work. Sucks, because it's freezing in the mornings these days. So I'm going to poke around and look for something sweater-ish for tomorrow lest I freeze to death.
Talked to
medievallass and we've arranged how we're buying tickets to The Oregon Symphony playing parts of the LOTR soundtracks. *happy dance* OMG! I'm going to wear my long chemise and skirt and my usual bodice, and borrow pointy ears, I still have to nab some fake fur for my feet. Haven't decided about my hair, as I have no plans to go digging through my crap at The Funny Farm for the wig I wore last time. In theory I could curl it. *shrug*
Dance class tonight: Fun. Tiring. Whew.
I get to see
dragon_mintz tomorrow, yay!! *more happy dance*
