Sep. 3rd, 2005 10:53 pmWoke up this morning with a headache. Which of course would have nothing at all to do with the fact that last night I consumed two beers, a glass of very sweet raspberry wine, and a gin collins. In that order.
dragon_mintz and I went to the coast today. We drove through Astoria and went to a beach just outside of Long Beach, Washington. I *heart* digital cameras--I took 61 pictures. I also took a short movie of the waves.
A bunch of the pictures turned out really well--especially some ones of sunlight/clouds reflected on wet sand. I also got a really great shot of a flock of sandpipers flying by, reflected on wet sand. I'm entirely too proud of that one.
We ate in Astoria. Just from driving around, I'd really like to explore it more. It's like Newport and SE Portland smashed together and stuck on steep hills. I got the name of the restaurant from a website listing vegetarian restaurants, but it was kinda dissapointing--the inside of the place was neato, but it's not cool to knock down the price of a dish only a dollar when we both ask for it without salmon. Salmon is expensive. Pasta (or in my case, couscous, since the pasta had eggs) is cheap. So is tomatoes.
Anyway. People here to help me get pictures online. Woot.
