*happy dance* They've finished shooting the fourth movie and are indeed doing the fifth book as a movie as well. And I read that Daniel Radcliffe (aka Harry himself) hasn't gone back and watched the earlier movies. I can understand that--I mean, everyone's acting has improved a great deal, especially in the third one. But part of that was a better director, IMHO.
Speaking of HP, I really need to find the first book so I can begin The Great Re-Read leading up to mid-July. Yes, I read the fourth and fifth books in a couple days a pop--but I did nothing else, except sleep and work. I'm going to spread them out a bit this time, I think. *lol*
Oh yeah, the rest of my life. The belly-dancing on Saturday night was wonderful. Cherie and I had some drink I'd never heard of that was really good. Oh, I remember what it was called, a Beirut Iced Tea. I guess it's a middle-eastern interpretation on the Long Island Iced Tea concept. It was minty and citrusy and most of the ingredients were different kinds of alcohol. Under the loud music, Cherie and I talked about their dancing: "Didn't they already do that? Oooh, that was good. How'd they do that? That one has really good isolations, she's got good audience contact, that one really knows how to use her costume." Apparently we were grinning through the whole thing because one of the dancers came up and said it was nice to see us having such a good time.
Something bit my hand while I was sleeping Saturday night. I don't know what. I'm mildly freaked. I have four dots very near each other on the back of my hand near my knuckles. They never itched but they hurt that morning and still do if I touch them. They also have tiny black spots in the middle that resemble blackheads but aren't. It doesn't help that the night before, I saw a spider on my ceiling. I squished it with a flip-flop and I'm positive that one was dead, but wtf? Did one of his relatives decide to wreak revenge on me??
Sunday I went to my parents' house. Mom showed off what they're doing with the yard and garden and what they need to do--the fast-growing tree they planted when the moved in in '97 is starting to push up the sidewalk and they don't know what to do. There's no way they could pull it out themselves, the tree isn't far from water lines. She picked up Ashley (Chris' fiancee, and OMG that's weird to type) from her job at Sushi-town and then we all went to Freddy's. It's so weird to be there. Everyone on the planet wants to know what I'm up to these days. Someone who was fired just after I quit was even shopping there. But, on the upside, KC was there that day. *fans self* See, I enjoy knowing he's not my manager anymore, but I still apparently won't hit on him. *lol* I was talking about how nice it was to do the weekday 9-5 thing, and he pointed out that the reason so many Freddy's employees marry other Freddy's employees is because otherwise they'd never see each other! There are an odd number of married/cohabitating couples working there.
I bought ....undergarments. And a v-neck tshirt because it's cut the way I like them. Everything on the damn planet was on sale, too. So I got a bra meant for juniors--it's flourescent, I swear to gods. Also, the straps are unnervingly thin. In addition, I got a matching thong (omg! a little dragonfly on the side! It's Teh Cute!), and a pair of black and rainbow striped boy shorts. I like them, but they're just proof as to why I like thongs--if it's all going to end up in my ass anyway, I'd like to control the quantity, dammit.
