Jan. 22nd, 2005 09:48 amLong time, no post....dang me and this "life" thing I seem to be having lately.
Wednesday: After work I went shopping with a coworker. And even though I only bought things I need (except for a few exceptions I'll talk about shortly), I feel guily. I bought a work shirt at Buffalo Exchange, a tank top to go underneath at American Apparel (button down shirts aren't necessarily exposing on their own, but bend over or reach up so it bunches up, and you have an issue...), and two new bras at Victoria's Secret on clearance. Which, btw, amuses the hell out of me because the person there inists that rather than a 36C, I am a 34D (they're the same cup size, so it's not like they got bigger or anything). In any case, I bought one of each, so we'll see.
I also got tickets for me and
mechalith to see Lewis Black, go us. And then
infernarl and me went out to Hoda's and stuffed ourselves and then came back and went to bed because it was ten something and I was tired.
That was a bad night, sleepwise. I knew I wouldn't get any sleep Thursday night, so I was stressed and wanted to sleep well Wednesday, so of course I hardly slept. Also, had some really bad dreams that would go back to where I left off, every time I fell back to sleep.
Which meant that Thursday I was not only tired but incredibly anxious. The stuff I do at work doesn't take up much brain space, so my mind was going a million miles an hour (don't even ask how much Rescue Remedy I went through that day) and it was bad. It was like, "whee! this is what it feels like when I'm not on wellbutrin! except worse!!" When work got out I went to chorus, where I finally had something else to occupy my brain and was able to calm down a wee bit, which was nice.
Met up with
mechalith outside the Crystal Ballroom. The show was good, of course. And they were kind enough to provide us all with chairs. However. Some people are fucktards. First of all, Lewis Black has the habit of asking rhetorical quesitons, pausing, and then saying something sarcastic. Idiots near the front kept shouting out answers. He basically told them to STFU three times ("Y'know, I actually work on this material. But if you want, I can just stand here and you people can shout stuff and then I can go home"). Also, a couple of people kept chatting behind me. Did you really pay $33 bucks to hear yourselves talk??
Other than that, though, I had a good time. He was fucking funny...at one point I looked over and Ryan was having a hard time catching his breath, he was laughing so hard.
Yesterday I was exhausted at work, of course. The last hour and a half, we just fucked around, really. Last night, I swear to gods, I fell asleep at 9:30pm. I woke up at 8:30 this morning, so I've had 11 hours of sleep, whoa. I had dreams about finding out late about an SCA/pirate event, and made Tyson and Molly drag me along, and it was warm and sunny and I couldn't figure out where to put my tent, and
infernarl had nothing to wear (no garb, anyway) and I had more garb than in real life or something...hm.
I get online this morning, and I have 96 flipping emails. I'm going to cut more people off my friends list before I even touch it with a ten foot pole (if I know you in real life, you're safe) because I wasn't caught up all the way as of freaking Tuesday, and I'm too scared to try to wade through it otherwise....
Did anyone tape Lost on Wednesday?? I missed it, and it was supposed to be a good one.
EDIT: I cut all of five people/comms. Several of which never ever post, the rest were LOTR fan journals of some sort. Ow ow ow that still hurt. Le sigh.
