Dec. 22nd, 2003 07:28 pmSorry I haven't posted (in case any of you actually care) but I've been ill. In theory I have a prescription for Cipro (isn't that what they use for anthrax?) waiting at Rite Aid but something went wrong with my insurance. Gr.
Yeah, this was supposed to be, like, the busiest weekend, social activity-wise, all year, but NO, I was sick!! Gr. I did make it to the LOTR party though, and I did get from said party:
A book of the poetry from LOTR with illustrations by John Howe (yeay!)
A plastic version of Sting (Frodo's sword) that makes noise when you wave it around
An envelope with a New Zealand stamp that has a picture of Eowyn and Aragorn
A rock from the real place where Frodo crossed the ford with Arwen, y'know, when they were being chased by Nazgul?
Apparently Annalee's mom had a conference in Australia and they took a side trip to NZ. That's where the last two things came from. In theory I also had a DVD of POTC, but, alas, it was stolen. Yes, it was allowed, that was part of the rules of the game. GrRrRr.
Anyway. Am eating cheez-its and hoping for latkes later. I have Cherie's present but it isn't wrapped, and I don't think I was supposed to be up here just yet. Oh well.
