Found randomly on the yahoogroup Tolkien_Silliness:

Wow, I feel loved! I haven't translated any more yet, but I will now! I have
done some in Elvish, though: My favourite is "Eldarath na aratari-nini!", which
roughly translates to "All Elves are bastards!" (As said by Aragorn in chapter
2).

Also:
Russian for 'hello, big boy' is 'privyet, bolshoi malchick.'

And:
No problem: "commodum incipere ardere ubivius" is "Just start a fire anywhere",
but the actual quote (I looked it up) is "Why don't we light a fire right
here?", which is "cur haud nos accendere ardere hic?"

And:
PHILOSOPHY: Basically, this involves sitting in a room and
deciding there is no such thing as reality and then going to lunch. You
should major in philosophy if you plan to take a lot of drugs.

*lol*

Work was Unreasonably Busy. What, it rains for the first time all summer (Woo Hoo! btw) and it's time to go grocery shopping? Suddenly it was like working up front again. It's a weird zone--I feel really tired but I'm moving very fast. Started unpacking Halloween stuff. I love Halloween. I'm looking forward to it already.

My dad is editing miles of camcorder tape from when we lived in Iceland. Most of the footage so far has been from the camping trip we took before I went into sixth grade--we drove around the ring road (which is the rough circumfrence of the island) camping for about a week. We saw a lot of volcanic activity and waterfalls. I forgot about the steam thing: in the more active places, steam just rises from the ground. It's really weird to see all that tape, because my mom has a poodle perm and HUGE glasses. My dad has more hair. I'm eleven, DJ's eight, Chris is five. His hair sticks up where his two cowlicks meet, it makes him look like a rooster. My mouth, teeth and all, was the same size then, on this tiny face. Surrounded by way too much hair. I don't think I ever brushed it, and it seemed to have a permanent ponytail crease. I love how it's July, and we're wearing heavy coats 'cause it's rainy and windy and fifty degrees. Also, it's always light, because Iceland is thisclose to the arctic circle.

Just....interesting.
