Your True Love Is a Gemini

Why you'll love a Gemini:

Witty and sharp, a Gemini can keep up with your fast (and ever changing) mind.
You're both fun loving and free spirits. You and a Gemini can enjoy each other without expectations.

Why a Gemini will love you:

Not only can you keep up with a Gemini's sharp tongue, you can introduce a challenge or two...
You're appetite for fun and novelty will keep a Gemini interested - at least for a bit longer than usual!

Not quite the result I expected to get!

It was really hard to pick an option for some of these. I tried not to overthink it...it's just a meme.

I have food for the potluck at work tomorrow. However, I should have gone to Whole Foods instead of Wild Oats, because the Wild Oats near chorus doesn't have Dave's Killer Bread. Hmph. I have about half a loaf, I may take it with me anyway. Because we're having a sandwhich potluck. I'm also bringing sliced Tofurkey and Vegenaise (more for myself than anyone else), as well as a yummy bean salad.

My rehearsal today was quite good. Yay for making progress on songs.

Speaking of chorus!

The tickets for the Spring concert are on sale now. The show is at the Portland Newmark Theatre, on May 14th (that's Mother's Day) at 7 pm. You can buy tickets through me. They start at $15 and go up from there. You know you want to come.

While I really want to figure out how to upload mp3's so you guys can hear us, there's a few sound clips on the Aurora website. The clips are over here. I don't know which performances these are recorded from...I've sung In Dreams and Call (Call is a definite favorite of mine) but I have a feeling they're from an older show, which means I'm not singing in those. Not that it really matters. *lol*

On another note, if there's anyone who hasn't seen Cirque de Soleil and wants to, gimme a ring/email. It's starting to feel like everyone I know has gone but me!!

I saw the ad for Cirque de Solei yesterday and haven't seen them yet and really want to go. Pity we have the whole different hemisphere thing going on...

LOL I know!! I keep being cranky that you're so far away, I keep getting the feeling we'd get along in person. Although I just thought, I'd probably be startled by your voice. I never read text with accents unless I've heard that person talk, and obviously we'd each have a different one. If you have a paid account you should make a phone post, so I can hear your voice when I read your posts.

The one stopped here is called Verekai! and all my friends have seen it and are going bonkers over it. Plus I really like the idea of an all-human circus. Everything I've seen suggests they treat their people really well, too.

And I get cranky nearly every time I read your lj, as one of my major problems is my friends hardly ever want to do the things I want to, and you're always saying anyone want to go to such-and-such and I'm thinking - yes me! That sounds great, I'll go :P. Plus I think we'd get along, you are probably the first person I've ever some across who shares most of my eclectic interests and personality traits.
I do have a paid account, but there is no number for Aust at all! Grrr, I was going to do a voice post. Though my voice sounds weird when it's recorded, I sound like a boy with a cold :/. No one recognises me on the phone until they have heard me many times and know me quite well. And yeah I do the same thing, people have a very generic accent until i actually hear their voice and then it freaks me out!
I have been accused of having an American twang actually, I think that's because I start speaking like those around me, and with being at home on my own (because of my cfs, I am naturally more extroverted than introverted) with generally Buffy/Angel/Firefly/VM DVD's for company, and watching Lost and the O.C :s on T.V I am mimicking it a little. Although I have had this said to me for years...I guess my kiwi twang turned into a not very-broad with American twang Aussie accent. I bet if I end up living in London for a while as I plan to I'll sound kind a British. I won't mind that too much :). Plus my Dad's a pom so I'm allowed :).
Yeah I'm not big on animals in circuses :/ but cirque de soleil
looks really interesting and the people seem very passionate about it all (I saw a behind-the-scenes doco and have wanted to see them perform ever since.)

I looked at your interests, I'm tempted to put "goth vegans" (or does yours say "vegan goths"?) on mine too, but then yours would be highlighted blue, and I admit it's sometimes fun to have an interest no one else has--for ages "ethical wool" on my list wasn't highlighted, but then I got a friend who said she was interested in that too!

So, let's see: We're both geeky kinda-goth vegan pagan Scorpios who like Sagittarians and girls (I like boys, too, but hey). *lol* How old are you, out of curiousity? I'm 26, I don't remember if you've said your age.

You've seen pictures of me, any pictures of you?

If I ever want to go to Australia I'll definitely have to crash on your couch or something. *lol*

http://bitter-moss.livejournal.com/33400.html#cutid1 Two photos of myself here :o).
It says goth vegans, so if you say vegan goths we'll both still be 'unique'. Yeah I had the same thing with permaculture gardens and a few things in my old interests. Graveyard picnics was already there :o).
I'm the youngin' at 22. (Because 26 is so old :P.)
Yes you are free to crash on the couch anytime, it's even a fold-out couch, so classy and sort of comfortable. Maybe I'll be in London by the time you get traveling so even cooler :o).

Also, you + LOTR = I'm quite jealous. :^)

Watcha plannin' to do in London?

Thanks :).
Well it depends on how well I am. I'll pretend I'm 80-100% better. If it were to happen tomorrow I'd study (keep on with my arts degree in environmental studies/english and history) and paint the town black ;).
Or work in some marvelous creative, flexible and ethical position and take cute girls to museums and wildlife parks on the weekend :P!
I really want to live in Europe for while, to experience the history and culture. I find it so stagnant here. Being sick isn't helpful in this regard of course.

The funny thing being, right now there are American and European people going to Australia because they find their own home stagnant.

I keep thinking about getting a working holiday visa for NZ. But it's a lot of money and I'm not sure I can bear to be away from family and friends for that long--because to me, there's no point in laying out all that money etc. unless I stay the full year.

Oh I totally appreciate why people would come here. If one grew up in grey, oppressive England the sunny skies and relaxed nature of Brisbane would be lovely I'm sure :). But I crave cooler weather, history, culture, heritage and the land is more like New Zealand which I love. (Land as in literal natural stuff, not the cultural human construction of a nation.)
New Zealand! :D:D:D Well if you are thinking about it more seriously I can give you some tips on where to go :). I guess that's one good thing about not really having any ties, I'm a free agent :). I would like reasons to stay. I'd love to get to London and make a bunch of wikid friends and meet the love of my life and move to Spain to run a vegetarian bed and breakfast and have all my new London friends come stay for free :). (You are invited to of course :).)
Ah well, who knows, I really feel as if I'm at crossroads. Life has to become worth living i have had enough of stagnation and depression e.t.c. Working through my cfs holds many keys. I just hope it doesn't take too long :s.

for ages "ethical wool" on my list wasn't highlighted, but then I got a friend who said she was interested in that too!

I asked before I added it, though! If you want your unique interest back, you can have it. I have a million unique ones...

No, that's fine! I like the idea of more people being interested in ethical wool. :^)

*nod* I've been told that even the less-expensive seats have a great view, as long as you're not behind a post or something!
