I have a ton of things to say because I haven't been online since, oh, Wednesday, but first:

I am a happy fucking camper.

I kept freaking out because I was thinking that Faeryworlds and Seadog Nights were on the same weekend. Lo and Behold!! They are not.

So I can go to both.

*happy dance*

ARGH!!! AVAST YE!! SHIVER ME TIMBERS!! and all that shit.

I'm planning on going to Seadog Nights from Friday evening after work until some point on Sunday. In case, y'know, anyone wants to join me.

Faeryworlds I'm not sure of. As far as I know, I'm going down with [livejournal.com profile] dragon_mintz Friday night because she's going to be there for Saturday. Sunday, I'm not so sure about. Most of the music acts I want to see (Trillian Green!! OMGWTF!!!111!!) are going to be there on Sunday. Anyone staying there for Saturday night and coming back Sunday (who doesn't mind me tagging along)?

EDIT: I just realized, I'm going to be busy three out of the five weekends in July, if you don't include the Fourth.

I had an appointment with a naturopathic doctor today, her name is Dr. Lawton and I really really like her. Now I have a whole bunch of not-quite-disgusting tea, and a few pellets of a homeopathic remedy, and some birch sugar (aka Xylitol, which doesn't affect blood sugar).

I've also been given some instructions: Take more acidophilus, and on an empty stomach. Stop eating sugar (aw, crap....but I knew she'd say that). Eat more beans and leafy greens.

She strongly suspects that I'm hypoglycemic.

Finding the correct homeopathic remedy was really amusing. She's got a computer database she plugs stuff into, and then looks it up in a huge book and asks me all sorts of odd-seeming questions. At first she'd handed me one remedy, then based on something I said she randomly asked if I was incredibly phobic of any animals. Well, no, except for mild-ish arachnophobia, which is pretty normal. She then specifically asked how I felt about snakes. Dood, I love snakes. I've had a garter snake as a pet before, and I'd get a ball python if I didn't have to feed it rodents (because I like rodents too). Then she decided to change the remedy. I don't remember the name of it, goshdarnit. But she handed me the book and I laughed. She's going by personality types for the remedy, and this one could be summed up as: "Talks a lot and likes sex." *LOL* There was some other stuff in there that was interesting, like craving pasta (bingo) or milk intolerance (bingo, pt. 2).

In any case, I have her email address, and I'm supposed to stop taking birth control (which I was planning on doing anyway, but apparently it doesn't go well with homeopathy), wait a day or two, and then take all of the remedy at once--there's only a few pellets. Supposedly within a day I should be able to tell if it's the right one. If not, I go back and she tries another.

And she didn't tell me to stop taking anything, except birth control, which I was considering doing anyway. I should probably get a prescription for Plan B (the brand name of the morning-after pill, which I never cease to find amusing) to carry around. I've had a condom break before, and that is Not Fun, especially on a Saturday when PP doesn't open until Monday and it doesn't occur to you to call anyone else.

Tonight: Pack up my crap and find someone to haul my ass into town and go to [livejournal.com profile] dragon_mintz's house. Go dancing, yay. Drag my ass out of bed the next morning and go to church and the picnic afterward. I've made bean salad already. Mmmmm that stuff is good. Not the normal bean salad, it's a recipe off a can of "salad beans" that I've made a few times before, and everyone always likes.

EDIT: Name of the remedy I'm taking is Lachesis. It's apparently made from a snake's venom. Freaky, man.
